And in the intervening decade ......

It is perhaps appropriate since a decade has passed since the last posting on this site to make a comment. Since I'd orginally set it up for him I've been able to keep this blog open.

Not to beat about the bush on the 31 December 2008 on a trip to New Zealand for Christmas and to attend his Uncles funeral Jim was killed in a head on car crash on State Highway One near Taupo.   It was his fault with the most likely cause given as fatigue, ie went to sleep at the wheel. Unfortunately Jims dad, David, was in the car at the time and suffered a broken neck which was not properly diagnosed until some weeks after the crash. His brother Peter was in the following car and saw the whole event unfold and suffered a degree of trauma as a result the depths of which only he knows.

As his best friend since the age of 12 and expecting to grow old with my best mate in a way that my own father did with his I have suffered a grief ever since not only of a friend lost but as a future robbed. A future discussing cameras, cars, gadgets, families, ex's and presents and movies , the list could go on.

The ripples across Jims family have been profound and even though I've spent a lifetime in Crash Analysis nothing can really prepare you when its this close to home. So eight years since he went I still miss our conversations, nobody has replaced them and I often wonder where both our lives would be if he had not made a stupid mistake which cost him his life.

Filming ceases on new James Bond movie and Jim moves to another project .

Our Hollywood reporter Brian brings you this ground breaking news .

Good evening yes I able to confirm that Jim Neesdon former star of Ann of a Thousand Neesdons and a Lion in Needon will be moving to a new studio located in Brisbane and commencing work on a film with a working title of “Queensland 2006” .

Here he will be teaming up with his old buddy from Hewtel Productions , perhaps most notable for their “Inglewood Interview series” .

Although not many details are available and the studio is tight lipped I have slept with the office girl and can say that there will be some spectacular stunts with a four wheel drive vehicle which we believe will bury itself in a VW golf , twice.

Keen to establish the look and feel of a classic retro piece the creative team at Hewtel Productions have released this opening still.

The search for stunt doubles is on as many of Flemings Mini sequences are considered too hazardous for A list actors .

Breaking news flash.

New James Bond announced.

Due to the lack of cool shown by the previous embodiment of Ian Flemings 007 well know method actor Mr E will be filling the Bond shoes.

Brought directly from his VW test driving in Europe Mr E will be beginning immediately on the new bond flick Southern Men, their cars, bikes and Chicks very loosely based on the recently unearthed Fleming Novel.

Production is already underway at the Hewtel Production facility.

More as it unfolds .

HOT CHOCOLATE/KENTUCKY STYLE!

SAN ANTONIO - TEXAS - SOME PICTURES

MOVIE REVIEW - "LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE"

I saw this movie with Martin in the US. Excellent, interesting characters, funny, unusual, clever. 8/10

MOVIE REVIEW - "KENNY"

Bloody good Australian movie: 9/10. Go and see it!

MOVIE REVIEW - "SNAKES ON PLANE"

Absolute and utter garbage. It gets "ok" in the last 20 minutes until Samuel L Jackson suddenly decides that the whole reason for the movie is for him to say "mother f__ker" a few times and really, it's just crap.

My score 0/10
